There are many hunt dates still available so apply now!!! Welcome to an exciting new concept in waterfowl conservation. Valley Waterfowl is a non profit organization designed “for hunters by hunters.” Our goal is to improve hunting opportunities for our members by working with area landowners to improve wetlands and habitat for local ducks and geese. We work to increase waterfowl numbers by installing mallard nesting huts, wood duck boxes, and providing directed predator control methods in specified areas. Duck and goose hunting is part of our heritage, and because of this we have began to secure hunting locations through leases that are available to our members on a draw basis.  Once we have raised the necessary funding through contributions, we plan to purchase our own properties, which will be designed specifically to benefit waterfowl and to provide increased hunting opportunities for our members.

Valley Waterfowl Implements Hunter Access

I am pleased to announce that Valley Waterfowl has secured property, and we will implement the hunter access program during the upcoming 2005 – 2006 waterfowl season. The property, which is located in Sutter County, is approximately 110 acres of rice fields, and it contains two four man in ground tanks.  The blinds will be fully furnished with decoys, so the hunters will not have to take their decoys into the field. This will also benefit those who are new to waterfowl hunting and those who do not have access to decoys.
